Declan Shalvey is an award winning artist/writer of comics and graphic novels from Ireland.
He is best known for his acclaimed run on MOON KNIGHT with Warren Ellis for Marvel Comics, revamping the character for a new audience and a television series for Disney+. Shalvey has worked on hit titles and characters such as ALIEN, THUNDERCATS, BATMAN, DEADPOOL VS OLD MAN LOGAN, IMMORTAL HULK and the groundbreaking X-MEN UNLIMITED with Jonathan Hickman. He has also developed a number of creator owned projects such as INJECTION, BOG BODIES and TIME BEFORE TIME from Image Comics OLD DOG, a ‘spy-fi’ series for Image, written and illustrated by Shalvey, is his latest.
Peter Donnelly is a best selling author and illustrator of children’s picture books.
His titles include The Dead Zoo, Up on the Mountain, Little Wolf and the much loved President’s Book series.
Two of his books, The President’s Cat and The President’s Dog won him the An Post Children’s Book of the Year in 2018 and 2023 respectively.
Peter previously worked in feature animation for many years where he developed his love for Story Art.

Driven by a passion for visual storytelling in printed form, Alé's work covers the areas of book illustration, comics/graphic novels, children's books and printmaking.
He is a self-taught illustrator practicing full-time since December 2003. His work has gathered recognition over the years in the form of long term relationships with clients and awards.
Most recent ones include being Highly Commended for the prestigious World Illustration Awards in 2023. Being a digital native illustrator, he constantly strives to expanding his graphic processes. In 2011 he was founding member of Blackstack Print Studio in Kilkenny where he taught advanced screen printing until he left in October 2018.
Alé is a member of Illustrators Guild of Ireland (IGI) since 2002 and served as a director a few times and has been a member of the Association of Illustrators since 2010,
Visual Artists Ireland since 2019 and the Society of authors since 2020.
Dino is a UK based Animation Director known for his work in both traditional and computer-animated films. He has contributed to various well-known productions, including "The Hunger Games," "Aladdin," and "Space Jam”
Dino has built a reputation for creating world-class designs, storyboarding, and theatrical animation for major US studios such as DreamWorks, Warner Bros, Paramount, and Disney. He has also worked on the twelfth series of "Thomas & Friends" as an animation director and character adaptor.
Dino's expertise spans across different animation styles, and he has been involved in both animation and live-action movies. His work includes sequence direction, animation, and storyboarding for a variety of projects, showcasing his versatility and skill in the field of animation. His professional background and experience make him a prominent figure in the animation industry, with a strong track record of contributing to successful and well-loved productions.
Anthony Power started his career in animation at the Murakami Wolf Studios in Dublin in
1989 on the TV-series “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”. He then moved to London to work on
Richard William’s, The Thief And The Cobbler.
Anthony moved to Germany in the early 90’s and started his career as a director in 1996 in
Germany’s #1 animation studio, Hahn Film working on “Urmel” and “Renaade” before
directing his first feature film, the award winning “Abrafaxe – Under the Black Flag” based on the German popular comic strip.
In 2002, he started writing for animation on “The School For Little Vampires” which he also
directed. His other TV writing credits include “Knight Rusty”, “Sherazade the Untold Stories”,
“Mia and Me”, “The Muscleteers” and “Dragon Coconut”.
In 2015 he co wrote and directed “Little Knight Trenk”, which went on to win the
Drehbuchpreis Kindertiger for the best children’s feature script for that year. His most recent Feature Film credit is "Dragon Coconut 2” which he directed and co-wrote which was the most successful German animated film of the year.
Since moving back to Ireland in 2019, Anthony has directed several pilots for German TV
and is currently developing his own film, “The Barber of Boobeebah Bay”.

Dublin born Niall graduated from Ballyfermot Senior Technical College in 1989 and was quickly snapped up by Murakami WolfStudios where he worked on the original ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,’ TV series and other world class Irish made films like ‘All Dogs Go To Heaven,’ and ‘Help I’m A Fish.’ Niall went on to be the Lead Animator on the delightful animated characters in the highly acclaimed Oscar nominated series, Give Up Yer Aul Sins for Brown Bag Films.
Widely regarded as one of the ‘best in the business’ and most well-known caricaturist in Ireland, Niall enjoys sell-out exhibitions and has appeared on numerous Radio and TV shows including The Saturday Night and Late Late Show and completed commissions for many well known celebrities from both Ireland and abroad.
After more than 20 years in the business, Niall has deservedly earned prominence in the niche world of caricatures and is often referred to as ‘the quickest draw in the East’ owing to the speed with which he can sketch a caricature portrait.
Jerr is one of the world’s top Game animators and designers. He grew up in Tramore, Ireland and gained a Graphic Design Degree from SETU (formerly WRTC) in the 1980’s. He began his career in animation with the renowned Dubin based Sullivan BluthStudios, working on films like the "Land Before Time" and "All Dogs Go To Heaven".
After that he jumped across to video games, back in the days of Amiga’s and pre consoles. He created and directed the Heimdall series, and worked on as a lead animator on Tomb Raider and mobile Call of Duty. He is now the art director for a learning group, creating game based safety products for multinational companies.
2023 saw the released of his first children’s book "Can You See Dragons?" which came from a promise he made his own kids many years ago. The beautifully illustrated book is now out there for children everywhere via KDP.
Ben is an Irish based illustrator and podcaster. He has primarily worked as a storyboard artist in the animation industry and he has worked on shows for RTE JR., Cbeebies, Nickelodeon, PBS, Disney+ and Adult Swim. He co-hosts THE ODDS POD, a podcast where he discusses all things apocalyptic with guests from the film and comic book industries. His comic book titles include The ODDS and the fantasy epic GODFELL.

Maura McHugh lives in Galway and specialises in writing strange and unsettling fiction across media, including three collections of short stories. Her most recent, The Boughs Withered (When I Told Them My Dreams), was nominated for a British Fantasy Award. Her 'Bone Mother' short story was adapted into a stop-motion animated short film by the Canadian Film Board. She's written comics for Dark Horse, Atomic Diner Comics, and 2000 AD, and her book about David Lynch's iconic film, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, was nominated for a British Fantasy Award for Best Non Fiction. Sarah Bowie is an author and illustrator based in Waterford City, Ireland. She has published three picture books for children, and her stories have appeared in The Guardian and The Irish Times.
Her fourth book, a middle grade graphic novel called Nina Peanut is Amazing, is out with Scholastic on March 14th. Sarah is co-founder of The Comics Lab (a space to explore visual storytelling) and of Ireland’s first Graphic Short Story Prize in partnership with The Irish Times.
She founded Waterford Sketchers in 2021, and she delivers a range of workshops in schools, colleges and libraries, including: Comics-making, visual storytelling, sketch-noting (for learning) and doodling for wellbeing.
Waterford based Paul has been in the entertainment industry since the late 1980s. He has worked all over the world as an illustrator, animator, designer and director on many well known films such as The Land Before Time, All Dogs Go To Heaven, The Thief & The Cobbler, Cool World, Pirates: Band Of Misfits, Arthur Christmas, Shaun The Sheep, Riverdance: The Animated Adventure and the upcoming Wallace & Gromit feature.
He illustrated and co-wrote a graphic novel adaptation of the life and times of Ireland's national hero Cú Chulainn called Hound with Barry Devlin (of Horslips). Hound is published worldwide by renowned US label Dark Horse Comics.
Since returning to writing and recording his original songs Paul has released a limited edition EP called The Start Of It in 2018 for which he also and directed a promo video for each song. His first self-titled album, recorded in Canada, Ireland and New York with producer Hugh Christopher Brown, was released in summer 2020. His second album Hard Truth was released in 2022 with a third release, Beware Of Trains (recorded in Nashville, Tennessee), hit the airwaves in 2023.
Paul is currently developing new films, books and music for release in 2024 and beyond.
Local artist Pat O'Brien is an artist and illustrator from Waterford specialising primarily in caricature and portraiture. He worked, during the 1980s and early '90s, as the profile illustrator for 'The Sunday Tribune' newspaper, producing a weekly pencil caricature. He is currently retired from teaching art.

Nick Roche is a Wexford-born comic book writer/artist infamous for his work with TRANSFORMERS. Last Stand Of The Wreckers, scripted and drawn by Nick, was selected as IGN.com's 'Best Transformers Comic Of All Time', and he is currently the character designer on TRANSFORMERS: EARTHSPARK, the award-nominated animated series, available on Netflix and Paramount Plus.
Nick has spent time in the Marvel Universe, right now as the artist on X-MEN UNLIMITED, with previous stints on SPIDER-MAN, DEATH'S HEAD, and others. He's also found time to visit Mega-City One to aid and abet CHOPPER in the pages of 2000AD.
Perhaps the work Nick is most proud of is SCARENTHOOD, an original comedy folk horror comic novel set in Ireland, about the adventures of ghost-hunting parents who investigate the paranormal while their kids are in school. (Despite being about a haunted montessori, SCARENTHOOD is very much NOT suitable for children.)
Nick lives in Waterford with his wife, three kids and an obsession with local bakeries.
